A Close Look At SPACS – NKLA, LCA, FSR, TSNP

SPACs are the hottest new investment vehicle for investors. Whereas before, to get in on a new company, you had to buy an IPO from one of the big investment banks. We know they reserved the best ones for their favorite clients and retail investors got the short end of the deal.

This is not the case with SPACs.

A special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) is a company with no commercial operations that are formed strictly to raise capital through an initial public offering (IPO) for the purpose of acquiring an existing company.

SPACs commonly start trading around $10 until they find a deal. Judging by the excitement of the company the SPAC merges with determines what happens next.

This year, we have seen quite a few SPACs deliver big returns for investors.

Nikola Corporation (NASDAQ:NKLA) is the one many thinks of first when it comes to SPACs. The stock was a rocket over the summer and hit $90 back in June from its $10 base.

We weren’t as bullish on Nikola as others. Matter of fact, we said back in June that there were better bets for Nikola investors.

Since our call to get out, Nikola shares have dropped to under $20. Founder Trevor Milton left the company after short-seller Hindenburg Research issued a scathing report on irregularities it found. There are now inquiries from the SEC and the DOJ.

Landcadia Holdings (NASDAQ:LCA) is another popular SPAC that is merging with online gaming company Golden Nugget Online Gaming.

The excitement surrounding Landcadia Golden Nugget is because billionaire Tilman Fertitta will be Chairman and CEO once the merger is completed. Tilman is worth almost $5 billion and in addition to Golden Nugget, he also owns Landry’s, the NBA’s Houston Rockets, and has his own reality show Billionaire Buyer.

It doesn’t get much better when it comes to success and name recognition.

A lot of investors have been waiting for the chance to invest alongside Tilman before, but couldn’t because all his companies were privately-owned. Now investors get a chance to invest.

Fisker Inc (NYSE:FSR) is Henrik Fisker’s eclectic vehicle company. The company just completed its merger with Spartan Energy and now trades on the NYSE.

Fisker Inc aims to be the next Tesla. There’s already strong demand for Fisker cars. Fisker’s reservation count has grown to 9,100+ paid reservations through October 2020, with 40,100+ registered users from around the world indicating interest.

Fisker stock has recently just doubled off its lows. You can read the full report here:

Tesoro Enterprises (OTCMKTS:TSNP) has been the most-talked-about SPAC after running 2500% in just five trading sessions.

TSNP is merging with HUMBL. The HUMBL® Mobile App delivers borderless transactions, by integrating multiple currencies, payment methods, banks, and financial services providers into one-click for the customer. HUMBL® provides greater access and portability than US-only mobile wallet providers, such as Venmo® and Zelle®.

While many investors are chasing SPAC deals on the NASDAQ and NYSE priced over $10, the TSNP HUMBL deal is under five cents. The upside in TSNP HUMBL far outweighs any SPAC deal investors are chasing on the Big Boards.
